I cannot take credit for this page idea of tracking NHL period totals. All credit goes to: @VSiNLive, @MitchMossRadio, @paulyhoward, @VSiNjb for the “Follow The Money 5” and the original guy who smelled something funny (and profitable) on 1P totals… @axsmithsports

NHL OVER/UNDER betting by period…

The #FollowTheMoney5-6-7 has provided some great opportunities for 1P totals bettors. However the 1st period is only 1/3 of the game. Could there be other opportunities? In mid-February, when I was away on vacation, I took the time to sit down and review the scoring (using the link above from NHL.com) for the second and third periods. My tweet at the time (https://twitter.com/TheSharpPlays/status/1098249364001177601) discussed taking Calgary/Islanders OVER in the third period and Winnipeg/Colorado OVER in the third period. Both totals hit easily that night and provided some excellent in-play opportunities as well. I don’t think it was a coincidence either that the one night I monitor this, it sweeps the board. I definitely get the feeling there is something more to it. However with only a little left of the regular season, I think it is too late to try anything major at this point. It has piqued my curiosity and is something that I plan to track and post on this website from the beginning of the next NHL season. In the mean time, if you are looking for 1st, 2nd and 3rd period scoring info…the link above to the top and bottom scoring teams in the NHL by period is an excellent resource to use in your betting. Also, don’t forget to follow all the Twitter handles I listed above for the latest NHL period scoring trends and other great betting information!
